Two Wins for IQ Structures in IOTA Awards Competition

IQ Structures, a leading Czech company specializing in advanced optical security technologies, has secured two major victories in the IOTA Excellence in Optical Technologies 2025 Awards, confirming its global leadership in the design, development and production of nanofabricated optical security features for the protection of banknotes and identity documents.
The company’s achievements were recognized in two categories:
- Best Origination – “Number One: Wings for Precious”
- Best Innovation in Optically Variable Technologies – “Smart Mirrors”
This is the most prestigious international competition in the field, organized annually by IOTA – the International Optical Technologies Association (formerly IHMA).
Controlled Nanostructures Creating Unique Visual and Haptic Effects
Both winning solutions deliver an unprecedented visual and tactile experience — captivating to the public, easily authenticated by users, and convincing to experts. They offer exceptional resistance to counterfeiting and imitation, setting new standards in banknote and document protection.
- Number One: Wings for Precious – will be featured on the cover of the prestigious Banknote Technology Report 11, will be officially launched on November 11, 2025, at the Mint and Print Conference in Turkey.
- Combines overt, covert, and forensic elements, offering a “touch, tilt, and prove” experience.
- Incorporates features such as White Bas-relief (appears 3D, feels 2D), Morph effect (dynamic object outlines that animate when tilted), and Micrograf/Nanograf/Laser-readable images with microscopic precision.
- Smart Mirrors – a revolutionary security feature that creates unique optical effects, protects banknotes, and enables quick and unambiguous authentication under any lighting conditions.
A Statement from IQ Structures
“Thank you to IOTA for this honor — and congratulations to all fellow innovators and winners,” said Robert Dvořák, Managing Director of IQ Structures. “These awards reflect not only the talent, expertise, and experience of our scientists, engineers and designers, but also our commitment to setting new global benchmarks in optical security.”
